Scary how well it works
I’m 50 and have I’ve had challenges with sleep all my life... Falling asleep, staying asleep, waking up…it was all a problem for me... Downloaded this app 2 weeks ago with ZERO expectations and figured I’d be deleting in a day or two, but so far it has been literally life changing for me. I rarely leave reviews for anything but this was warranted. I've tried many different apps for binaural beats and this one, for me at least, works the best. I'll use the Brown Noise for sleep, a few of the Focus tracks while working or researching, and the Relax tracks during my commute home or while reading and chilling out at home. Sleep section has been blissful for me. I'm asleep in 30 minutes (prior to the app it was 1-2 hrs). For sensitive/sensory needs, the sound frequencies are quite effective at shutting off mind chatter, overthinking. The focus and concentration sounds offer nature, nature paired with sound waves or other sounds that help you distill read, study or brainstorm, etc.

Great app for both sleep and focus
I was a bit skeptical of binaural beats at first but after a bit of trials I’m glad to say I underestimated it completely. The calming sleep sounds are great to slow my racing thoughts. While working I’ll throw on the focus/productivity beats if I’m having trouble getting in the groove.

After having used binaurals over the past few years, I can tell which ones are good and which ones aren’t or are total fake. These are by far the best. I’ve noticed a change in my ability to relax even when I’m not using them.

What are binaural beats?
Binaural beats are an auditory phenomenon that occurs when you play two different sound frequencies separately into each ear. For example, if you play 200 Hz into your left ear and 205 Hz into your right ear, you will perceive a 5 Hz binaural beat, which sounds like a pulsing or wavering tone. Over time, your brain will synchronize its own neural activity with this frequency, resulting in a shift in your mental state.
How do binaural beats help?
Throughout the day, the brain exhibits patterns of activity known as brainwaves. These can be measured using an EEG and fall within a few defined ranges that correspond to different mental states:

• Delta (0-3 Hz) — deep sleep
• Theta (4-7 Hz) — REM sleep, deep relaxation, meditation
• Alpha (8-13 Hz) — relaxed alertness, wakefulness
• Beta (14-30 Hz) — concentration, active thought
• Gamma (30+ Hz) — learning, problem solving, peak cognition

Binaural beats allow you to tune your brainwave frequency on demand, increasing it when you need to get energized, or lowering it when you need to relax or sleep. Think of it like having a dial to speed up or slow down your brain.
How long do binaural beats take to work?
Studies on binaural beats have shown significant effects in as little as a few minutes, but the minimum listening time can vary from person to person. We recommend listening for at least 5 to 10 minutes and adjusting based on your results.
Is there any scientific evidence for binaural beats?
Binaural beats are a real and proven phenomenon, and there is a growing body of peer-reviewed research demonstrating their efficacy for a wide range of wellness goals. Some examples include improving sleep quality, enhancing focus and attention, reducing anxiety, and even managing chronic pain.
How do I use binaural beats?
Find a Moongate soundscape suited for your goal and listen for at least 5 to 10 minutes to allow the binaural beats to take effect. After this, you can pause the soundscape or continue listening if you prefer.
